Our Dance School offers a large variety of dance classes for all skill levels. Our experienced teachers are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible.

Acro / Gymnastics
PIPS offer acro classes that mix gymnastics with dance. Our younger dancers can join the classes from 5yrs and then progress through to the senior level.
Ballet, Pointe Prep & Pointe

PIPS provide ballet lessons from Baby Ballet to Pointe. The pointe technique is part of classical ballet involving a technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all their body weight on the tips of fully extended feet when wearing pointe shoes.
Combo Classes
The combo classes teach a mix of Jazz, Tap and Ballet. These are taught to the younger students before they are then split into classes dedicated to one of the dance styles. This gives the students a taster of each style before they choose 1 or all 3!
Contemporary

PIPS offers class from beginner to senior level in contemporary dance. This style combines the strong but controlled legwork of ballet with modern that stresses on torso. It also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristics of modern dance.
GCSE Dance
Pippa is qualified to provide GCSE Dance to any student who wishes to do this outside of their school. Please get in touch at pipsdanceacademy@gmail.com for more information.
Jazz
Jazz is a performance dance and style that is used in movies and many theatre and Broadway productions. It creates a conversation between the musicians, the instruments and the dancers. Iconic moves like the Charleston and Cakewalk were born through Jazz. We offer sessions for 10 years and older and also have the Modern Jazz Squad who perform in competitions and festivals.
Mini Pips & Baby Ballet

Our very young dancers can take part in the Mini Pips and/or Baby Ballet sessions. These are an introduction to dance for those aged 3-5 years.
Musical Theatre, Triple Threats & Production

Our musical theatre and production group use dance and acting skills to produce some fantastic performances. The older production groups enter showcases and festivals each year.
Street

Street dance is an umbrella term for a large number of social dance styles such as: breakdancing, popping, locking, house dance, waacking, voguing etc. PIPS teach street from the very basics to working with their own Commercial Street Squad - PIPS With Attitude (PWA).
Tap

PIPS students from the age of 5yrs can start their tap learning journey. It's incorporated into combination classes for the younger ones and then into individual sessions for the older students.

Adult Dance Classes
A high energy and fun filled class of fitness and learning fantastic new routines in a range of styles!
Price List
Our prices are based on the length of each class and assuming a 4 week month. The monthly cost will vary if it includes a school holiday period.

We have an annual £15 Membership Fee that covers the admin from all the extra opportunities that we offer at Pips. For new customers the first year is £20 to include the New Student Lanyard that all students must have.

All prices are reviewed each September and increased in line with external fluctuations.
